Pick  Team – Player – Position: School / Comparison

1 Kansas City – Luke Joeckel – T: TEXAS A&M / Duane Brown – Great footwork. Hand punches and posts defenders when extending long arms, may not have immediate drive blocking strength, but is technically sound enough to wall and slide. Is the top player on the board and should start on opening day

Kansas City can look at this one of two ways. Either re-sign Brandon Albert as an $8m / year guard and have one of the best young offensive lines in the league to build around…Or a logically transition into a 3 year rebuilding project where they can find a QB in the second round or free agency

2 Jacksonville – Bjoern Werner – DE: FLORIDA STATE / Ryan Kerrigan – Woerner is a high cut athlete who plays too tall but has NFL ready strength at the point, but needs to learn to use his hands more. Has a nose for the ball and while he is knew to football, he has remarkable footwork.

Jags need to rebuild their roster. Bradley knows the defensive line dictates the tempo at which a defensive unit can play. Woerner fills a need outside and as the team moves back to a 4-3 system, Woerner gives a high motor edge rusher to open up linebackers to play downhill more.

3 Oakland – Jarvis Jones – OLB: GEORGIA / Von Miller – Jones is not only the most talented defender in this draft, he may be the top edge rushing linebacker to come out in a long-time. Has a high motor, long arms, hits with power, plays with leverage and quick feet. Has a leaner midsection, but will need to watch his weight if he is going to play in coverage. 28 sacks the past two seasons playing in the SEC

As always with the Raiders, who the f knows…However if you look at the new defensive coordinator coming in from Stanford, I would imagine a physical OLB capable of playing with his hand in the dirt in a nickel rush situation fits that scheme to a T and they don’t have anyone on the roster that fills that role after missing on players.
