Michigan State begins the first four games of the season with a very favorable schedule, as do most teams ranked in the top 40. The first two games for the Spartans at home against Western Michigan and Florida Atlantic should amount to their preseason, starting these guys at 2-0. Their first test comes at home, under the lights, in a Nationally televised game against a Notre Dame team trying to find an identity and going through some major changes in nearly every aspect of the program.
